While hunched over my computer in a way that would make Igor jealous, a friend IM'd me and told me about a pedal he was about to buy. When he asked him the brand, he told me it was a BYOC, which I had never heard of. It turns out that BYOC stands for Build Your Own Clone, a company that ships all the parts required to build a boutique pedal for around a third of the price. Since almost all pedals are essentially the same except for incredibly subtle differences, this site allows you to get high-quality pedals to replace the basic cheap effects on your pedalboard (some pedals are probably impossible to build for the average guitar player). And by assembling them yourself, you feel all big and important and you can proudly tell people you made your own pedals. Since I suck at guitar, I probably will not be telling people that I made my own pedals so that BYOC can stay in business.
Since I have no job, I have been unable to buy any of these pedals and build them, so there is no way I can give an accurate review of them (to change this, keep in mind that my birthday is on the 23rd). So I will resort to looking at youtube videos of these pedals and posting them as an alternative. If you have a BYOC pedal, let me know and either give me your opinion or let me review it.
1. Digital Echo & Ping Pong (Delay Pedal)
2. Large Beaver (Fuzz)
3. Tremolo (Tremolo)
That's enough videos. Go out and buy some!
